The software-defined Radio Starter kit includes a USB hardware flash drive with a widely supported Realtek RTL2832U and R820T chipset and a versatile MCX antenna.

Several improvements to generic brands, including the use of the R820T2 tuner, improved component tolerances, a 1 PPM temperature compensation oscillator (TCXO), an SMA F connector, a circuit with distorted outlet and switch-off plates for easy direct sampling adjustment.
